Insight Millennium Scans

There are three types of nerves in your body: Those that control your muscles, those that control your organs and glands (such as regulating your heartbeat) and those that cause pain. You can tell us about the pain, but what about the rest of your nerves? We use these scans to objectively detect and measure regions of nerve disturbance in the other two areas. These scans will also document and monitor your results. Periodic re-scans will track your progress toward more normal function and improved health.

A normal sEMGSurface Electromyography (SEMG Scan)

Your muscles are controlled by nerves. Any disruption of the nerve, such as a subluxation (misalignment of the spine) leads to abnormal function of the muscle. The SEMG detects this abnormal function by measuring the amount of electrical activity occurring in the muscle.

An abnormal sEMGMuscle Balance (Symmetry)

Muscle balance is extremely important because the vertebrae in the spine depend on the muscles in order to move properly. Ideally, the muscles on both sides of the spine should function the same. Neither side should be more or less active than the other. However, if one or more vertebrae are out of their normal position (subluxated), it disturbs nerve function. This disturbance creates muscle imbalance. As a result of this imbalance, the muscles on one side of the spine can become tighter than the other (similar to a Tug-of-War). The symmetry scan will show the differences in tension on one side compared to the other.

Temperature Differences (Thermal Scan)

Muscle Balance (Symmetry)The Thermal Scan measures the temperature of the skin along both sides of the spine which is controlled by the blood vessels underneath it. These blood vessels are the thermostat of the body. They are controlled by the same nerves that control your organs and glands. When these nerves are disturbed, such as by a subluxation, it causes this “thermostat” to malfunction, producing an imbalanced temperature reading along the spine. This thermal scan allows us to monitor the function of all your organs and glands.

Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to Henderson residents - Chiropractor Henderson Dr. Mark Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
